Circuit boards become solutions
Going public marks the beginning of a new phase of growth for us. In 1999, we relocate our headquarters from Crissier to Boudry and move into a new main facility with a modern technology centre. Cleanrooms and specialised process areas lay the foundation for further growth.
In the following years, we consolidate our activities in Western Switzerland in Boudry, expand our presence in Asia with sales and production sites in Singapore and Batam, and thereby broaden our offering to include precision plastics manufacturing.
Investments in laser drilling and Laser Direct Imaging further strengthen our expertise in manufacturing high-precision and miniaturised printed circuit boards. By integrating Photochemie AG and NMS SA, we also expand our expertise in complex printed circuit boards and high-precision manufacturing processes.
In 2005, the acquisition of Swisstronics Contract Manufacturing AG, Systel AG and Systronics S.r.l. gives rise to our EMS division. With engineering, Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) and test development, we increasingly support our customers throughout the entire product lifecycle – from the idea to readiness for industrial series production.
In the same year, the transformation is also reflected in our name: Cicorel Holding SA becomes Cicor Technologies. The printed circuit board specialist has become an international development and manufacturing partner. We are soon able to prove ourselves in this new role – by entering highly regulated markets with mission-critical applications.
